Thanks, Paul!

This week (and next week as well), our recipes are coming from The Cocktail Chronicles by Paul Clarke.

We were digging through the book looking for ideas when we realized that Paul must have a very similar home bar to ours – we could make nearly everything there! It was a tough choice, but we started with this one, the Harrington.

“A VODKA COCKTAIL FOR PEOPLE WHO DON’T DRINK VODKA” – PAUL CLARKE

Throwing green chartreuse into a spirit-forward vodka cocktail was just a bit too intriguing not to try – and I was glad we did. The cocktail is strong, yes – but there’s a lot of flavor that sneaks up on you fairly late on the palate.

In some ways I felt like the Harrington could be a good alternative to a martini. No, it doesn’t taste like a martini – but if you’re looking for something smooth and strong, this could be a good candidate – with a little extra complexity to keep it interesting.
